Ricardo is passionate about building resilient, affordable, and sustainable infrastructure to deliver efficient, quality services through private finance.

Ricardo is a results-oriented Senior Associate at Castalia with proven multi-sector expertise in project finance, private-public partnerships and privatization, project management, and deal structuring.

He previously worked for the Development Bank of Jamaica for over a decade where he led teams to structure and execute bankable privately financed projects and award-winning transactions. He has also worked for Oxfam International, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank and has lectured at the Northern Caribbean University on business and economic statistics.

What’s your favorite book and why?

Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn. This is one of my favorite books because it is a fun mental journey between fiction and philosophy. The story is about a wise telepathic gorilla telling a man about his theory on how two contrasting primal mores throughout human civilization shaped society and how one of these mores motivates some people to pursue dominance and greed in modern society at the expense of humankind’s existence

What do you think are the five most beautiful things in the world?

Aurora lights, sunset at West End Negril, stars on a clear night, my wife, and my daughter.

What is one cool fact about your culture/heritage?

Jamaicans are competitive people who dream big and secretly desire to share our joy and improve the world
