Castalia presents the 6th annual Renewable Islands Index and Marketplace at CREF

In October 2017, Castalia presented the sixth annual Renewable Islands Index at the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF). The Index is Castalia’s annual ranking of jurisdictions in the Caribbean based on their policy/regulatory environments, projects developed to date, and future projects planned. This year, the ranking included a record of 33 jurisdictions.

Alongside the index, we also presented our fifth annual Caribbean Renewable Marketplace, a comprehensive database on planned and existing renewable energy projects in the region, including technology, estimated costs, and planned completion dates for each project. This year’s Marketplace includes information on over 270 projects.

Castalia’s presentation continues to be a hallmark of CREF (held this year in Miami, Florida). Nils Janson (Executive Vice President) and Gabriela Esmeral (Energy Analyst) presented the Index and Marketplace, and participated in a panel conversation on opportunities for RE development in the Caribbean.
