A global investor and asset manager, wanted to diversify its US investment portfolio into the energy contracted sector, specifically electric power transmission.

How we helped

Castalia assessed the market for privately-financed transmission in the US and identified four potential transmission projects that met the client’s investment profile and criteria. We identified new transmission investments likely to be needed over the next 5-10 years, based on existing patterns of congestion and expected development of new generation. We also identified the types of transmission deals that might be available, including Order 1000 regional projects and new generation interconnection projects.
