Castalia conducts solar PV workshop in Turkey

Castalia’s team comprised of Gianmarco Servetti, Veronica Lizzio, and Laurie Hervot are advising the World Bank on the design and implementation of financing mechanisms and technical assistance to support the uptake of rooftop solar PV in Turkey.

We conducted a workshop presenting our findings from our financial and economic analysis of rooftop solar PV projects in Turkey. Representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, distribution companies, and banks attended the workshop in Ankara on 25 October.

Based on our economic analysis, Turkey can reduce system generation costs by more than US$500 million over the next 10 years by reaching 4.2GW of installed capacity from rooftop solar PV.
