Vlad Zaiets
Analyst
Vlad is an analyst in Castalia’s Sustainability Practice. He works to solve problems in energy, infrastructure, and sustainable development.
Before joining Castalia, Vlad emigrated from Ukraine to pursue higher education in the United States with a focus on learning how to help governments improve policies, governance, and efficiency. At the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, he studied econometrics and policy. Since graduating, Vlad has worked on several large research projects in health, policy, and law.
He is passionate about using rigorous, data-driven analysis to improve markets, regulation, and sector structure to fight poverty and improve lives.

What’s your favorite book and why?
The Wealth and Poverty of Nations” by David Landes. This book is my favorite because it shows how market-based economies do better over the long run than non-market economies. This book has also inspired my education and career.
What are your hobbies or interests?
Rock-climbing, dance, and cycling
