Operating license awarded for 6MW solar project in Bermuda

The operating license for Bermuda’s first competitive tender for renewable power, a 6MW solar PV project, was awarded to Saturn Power.

Castalia helped the Government design and run the competitive tender process. The transaction was successfully completed in June 2018, with Saturn Power selected as the preferred bidder (10.3 US Cents per kWh). This plant is estimated to generate the equivalent of about eleven hundred [1,100] homes per annum, stabilizing some of Bermuda’s volatile fuel costs and ultimately save about 150,000 tons of CO₂.
