Castalia makes a call to action during the 2023 Caribbean Regional Water Loss Conference to stop water and energy waste in water utilities

Castalia participated in the Water Loss 2023 Conference in Trinidad and Tobago organized by the International Water Association IWA and the Water Loss Specialist Group of the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA), the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) and the Ministry of Public Utilities (MPU).

During this highly specialized conference Castalia’s CEO David Ehrhardt discussed the opportunities to leverage climate financing for non-revenue water performance-based contracts to reduce water losses and increase energy efficiency for water utilities. During the conference Castalia recommended creating a “Regional Water Utility Water and Energy Efficiency Fund” to promote water and energy efficiency contracts across the Caribbean.
