Economic and Financial Analyst
Location: Wellington, New Zealand
Do you want to apply your economics, financial analysis, policy and modeling skills to solve the world’s most complex infrastructure challenges?
- Influence the Australian and New Zealand debates on policy, competition, strategy, and regulation
- Help reduce emissions in developing countries by:
- Assessing the financial and economic viability of low-carbon technologies
- Developing roll-out plans and funding strategies to bring solar-powered mini-grids to remote communities
- Develop and implement funding strategies to help rebuild infrastructure in war-affected countries like Ukraine
- Design tariff structures that enable timely crucial investment by water and energy utilities, while ensuring affordability and simplicity for customers
Would you like to test your skills in a variety of project settings?
- Projects in Australia and New Zealand, but also in developed and developing countries in Asia-Pacific and beyond
- Large-scale international projects involving multiple economies, as well as small-scale projects that help specific communities or organizations
- Getting direct exposure to present and discuss your insights with clients.

Who we’re looking for
- A degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Engineering Science, Law or Applied Mathematics
- Relevant work experience (not required for graduate applicants)
- The desire and ability to learn new things fast
- Native-level fluency in English. Fluency in other languages is a plus
- Work authorization in New Zealand.
