Expert Testimony for the Valuation for City Water Services, Tanzania
The problem
The Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority (DAWASA) had engaged City Water Services Ltd, a private company to operate the water systems serving Dar es Salaam. The relationship between the parties deteriorated as City Water failed to deliver on KPIs in the contract. City Water sued DWASA for breach of contract, claiming damages.
How we helped
David Ehrhardt delivered expert testimony on the damages owed, showing that after penalties and early overpayments were considered, DWASA did not owe City Water anything, and in fact money was due from City Water to DWASA.
Impact
The Tribunal affirmed that it accepted Mr. Ehrhardt’s testimony and DAWASA was awarded the amounts and penalties calculated in Castalia’s expert witness report.
