Intern: Economic and Financial Research
Location: Auckland or Wellington, New Zealand
Castalia is seeking candidates for up to two internship positions based in our Auckland or Wellington offices. The interns will be responsible for:
- Conducting economic and financial research, analysis, and modeling;
- Producing written and visual outputs to clearly and concisely communicate the results of their analysis and modeling to clients; and
- Assisting with business development efforts.
The internships are available on a full-time or part-time basis, ideally with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week. The internships are expected to run for a 12-month period, with the possibility of an extension or a transition to a permanent position.
Who we’re looking for
Castalia is seeking candidates who are currently enrolled in a relevant graduate or undergraduate program (for example, International Economics, Finance, or Public Policy) and expect to graduate in the next 18 months or have graduated in the last 12 months.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Engineering Science, Law or Applied Mathematics
- Excellent research and analytical skills, along with strong presentation and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in other languages is an advantage
- Authorization to work in New Zealand.
