Emma Ihaia
Senior Advisor
Emma is a specialist in regulatory and competition economics.
She provides expert evidence in the context of regulatory proceedings, competition investigations, as well as merger clearances and authorizations. She has particular expertise in price squeeze analysis, cost modelling, and tariff design.
With more than 20 years of consultancy experience, Emma has worked for several economic consultancies including Charles River Associates. She has been on multiple secondments to Telstra (Australia) and Telecom New Zealand. Emma also was the regulatory and commercial manager at a regional electricity lines company. While she has particularly deep knowledge of telecommunications and electricity networks, she has also worked on projects relating to agricultural services, aviation, medical supplies, financial services, transportation, and pay television.
Emma brings together her knowledge of economic theory and quantitative analytical techniques, with practical commercial experience.
