Jordan Nelson
Director
Jordan is excited by complicated questions, and finding answers that will help improve people’s lives.
Jordan is an economist experienced in energy, water, and social infrastructure—with a particular focus on renewable energy. His strength lies in considering and synthesizing diverse perspectives to create tailored solutions for complex problems.
Prior to Castalia, Jordan worked for a non-profit micro finance firm in the Dominican Republic and as a contractor to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). There are several conspicuous gaps in his career history during which he was traveling the world.
Jordan believes working in international development offers both the most complex problems and the greatest opportunity to find solutions that can have an impact on the largest number of them.
