Riya is an Analyst in Castalia’s Water Practice. She supports work on water and sanitation strategy, urban resilience, and infrastructure planning by contributing to research, data analysis, and policy design.
She brings a strong foundation in economics, public policy, and quantitative methods.
Before joining Castalia, Riya held research roles in academic and policy institutions, where she contributed to projects on health policy, urban inequality, and development economics. She has worked on research assignments in India, Mexico, and the United States.
Riya is motivated by a desire to improve access to clean water and public services in cities. She is especially interested in using evidence-based approaches to address complex challenges in infrastructure and urban policy.
