Market Assessment of Investment Opportunities in Jordan

The problem

A global infrastructure fund manager was looking for investment opportunities in Jordan’s electricity generation sector, to build on an anchor investment in Jordan’s transport infrastructure.

How we helped

Castalia identified investment opportunities in Jordan’s electricity generation sector. To do so, we assessed the forecasted electricity demand and generation capacity needs in Jordan and forecast the contracted generation capacity from 2020 to 2030. We advised on the generation and storage technologies that would be part of Jordan’s least-cost expansion plan and worked with the client to identify the opportunities for which they would have a competitive advantage.
