Castalia is the winner of the Island Resilience Action Challenge at CREF

David Ehrhardt, our CEO, presented the implementation of a Minimum Regulatory Framework (MRF) at the Island Resilience Action Challenge during the 15th Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum. The framework is a potential solution to promote the development of resilient energy systems in the Caribbean.

This year’s challenge question was, “What is preventing the development of resilient energy systems in the Caribbean?”. Based on Castalia’s assessment of the issue, the problem is the lack of regulatory mechanisms that enable the necessary financing.

Audience members voted on the Minimum Regulatory Framework as the best solution to effectively create resilient energy systems in the Caribbean.
