Australian small and medium sized manufacturing businesses face strong competition from Asian and other firms. Castalia conducted a cost-benefit analysis of renewable energy market integration among Morocco, France, Germany, Portugal and Spain, and recommended transmission, regulatory and trading mechanisms to promote such trade. These countries want to integrate their electricity markets to scale up renewable technologies, decarbonize their power sectors, and meet the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
